I tried it, but when my connection is disconnected for long time, maybe about mins of no internet, it doesn't auto-connect anymore. Maybe first attempt failed internet connection was too bad or unstable, or not completely established and you gave up before second retry which is not immediate or system gave up after max retries number had been reached.

You may change retries number and intervals from settings.

It also happens to me sometimes when using unstable and weak wifi but has nothing to do with program functionally just with bad connection. A manual attempt to connect would also fail under same conditions.
